Thirteen year old *LEA Poema Laureadoed in two divisions:  Champion of Champions Open Performance Mare and Champion of Champions Amateur Performance Mare.  Poema also won the U.S. National Champion of Champions titles in 2007 and 2008.  *LEA Poema is owned and bred by Barbara Windom of La Estancia Alegre in Tesuque, NM

Congratulations to this outstanding mare for this achievement of a lifetime.

The top Breeding Stallion of the U.S. Nationals was  Brigadier LRP, owned and bred by Kenneth and Victoria Shelton of Shelton farms in Somerville, AL.  The six year old worked his way through the show winning Stallions 4-6 in bit, Champion Breeding Stallion and the coveted  Champion of Champions Breeding Stallion title.

Four year old MLM Divina won over seven other Regional Champion of Champions mares to win the opportunity to compete in the Champion of Champions Breeding Mare class where she beat five outstanding breeding mares to win the U.S. National Champion of Champions Breeding Mare title.  MLM Divina is owned and bred by Mike and Linda Mewhinney of Rocking M Ranch in Stephenville, TX.

HFC Sonador owned by Donna Riley and Carolyn Mittrick of Ocean Springs Peruvian Horses won the Champion of Champions Luxury Gelding title. Ocean Springs Peruvian Horses is located in Sulphur Springs, TX.

In the performance division, DW Tulio gaited away with the awards for Champion of Champions Amateur Performance Stallion and Champion of Champions Open Performance Stallion.  DW Tulio was bred by Wendy Wirth of Double W Ranch and is owned by Wendy Wirth and Cheryl Aldrich of Raintree Peruvians & Tack in Poolville, TX.

The Champion of Champions Performance Gelding was VIR Otono De Mi Vida, owned by Lynn, Darla, Chris and Danielle Austin of Mankato, MN.

Best Gaited Horse of Show was MLM Ambrosia owned by Shay and Leonard Hoffman of Flyn H Ranch, and the Best Bozal Horse of Show was MLM Serenata owned by Mike and Linda Mewhinney of Rocking M Ranch.

Rocking M Ranch swept the Junior Mare and Junior Stallion classes with Champion Junior Stallion MLM Mandarino  and Champion Junior Mare MLM Antorcha.  Rocking M Ranch is owned by Linda and Mike Mewhinney.
