Lone Star Horse Center Rescues Peruvian Horse

Let me introduce you to the newest resident of Lone Star Horse Center…….

I need another horse like a hole in my head, so when I got a call about this boy that badly needed a place to be, my first thought was to say no…..But something was really tugging at me to say yes. I really felt like God was calling on me to help.

So, here he is! He arrived at 9:30pm Friday January 7th, all the way from Colorado. I have a lot of work to do, but he seems to be a sweet boy and looks to have potential. He is 3 1/2 , not yet registered, but thanks to NAPHA for excusing penalties on rescue horses, he soon will be. I will register his name as VIAJERO, “Traveler”.

Thanks to the Horse Rescue group that took Traveler in, and a HUGE Thanks to Sharon LaPierre for helping to orchestrate his “adoption” and transport here to Texas.

I am excited to see how he will turn out and I will post updates on his progress!
Someone told me once that I couldn’t save all the animals in the world…..No, but I can save this one, and it will mean the world to him!

I just realized the typo in the story. Viajero actually just came to me on February 7th, not January 7th! I will post new pictures around March 7th so everyone can see him changing. 🙂

We named him “The Traveler” because he came through three states to finally find his home with Pam. Her generosity, expertise, and willingness to help train this little horse was an answer to a prayer. He comes from fabulous breeding, and we did not want to see him fall through the cracks. The placement of this Peruvian Horse has brought both my husband and myself great joy. I am especially grateful to NAPHA for helping with his paperwork and past fees. Pam, we look forward to your wonderful progress reports with joy and gratitude. Thank you for taking the chance. His life will have purpose now because of you.

Pam, thank you for answering God’s call to take this young horse. I know he’ll get an amazing start with you. I’ve seen your videos of the gelding LEC Chulo that we raised . . . he looks wonderful, and so will Viejero. God bless you.

Pam. God Bless you for your kind heart and this guy will just keep bringing you lots of joy. If you do not keep him there will be a perfect match no doubt.
Hope you and the family are doing well. Thanks as well for helping with NAPHA and being on the board.
