Northern Lights Peruvian Horse Club was created to assist its members in the enjoyment, education, and promotion of the Peruvian Horse in Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Missouri, Upper Michigan and Wisconsin.

The club is a gathering place for owners, breeders, and admirers of the Peruvian Horse. We are dedicated to discussion`s, sharing, learning, and improvement of the Peruvian Horse. Although this club is for Peruvian Horse enthusiasts, everyone is welcome to join and share in  experiencing the Peruvian Horse.

The show is hosted by the Northern Lights Peruvian Horse Club whose members make up Peruvian Horse owners and aficionados from Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, North Dakota and South Dakota.  The people who bring Peruvian horses to exhibit are from all areas of the United States as well as some from Canada.

The goal for the Fiesta del Norte/Northern Lights Peruvian Horse Show is to have fun and share the news and enjoyment of the Peruvian Horse.  The Fiesta has owners and ranches who have brought horses since the show’s inception as well as new owners who have never shown before.  It is a warm, welcoming environment for everyone.  All new comers to the show, new or old to the breed, are encouraged to contact Aura Austin on the Contact page so she can ensure their needs are met and to answer any questions they may have.

The Fiesta del Norte/ Northern Light Peruvian Horse Show is a two-day show that is action-packed with exciting classes including riders of all ages.  The show welcomes the public to come join in the fun, entrance to the show is FREE! You can purchase a beautiful magazine-style show program for only $3!  Proceeds from show program sales go to help with a portion of the printing. You are welcome to watch the classes from the comfort of the viewing stands at the Iowa Equestrian Center, walk through the stall barn to see these majestic horses up close, visit and ask questions of the owners.

The show begins at 8 a.m. on Saturday and goes until about 5 p.m.  On Sunday it starts back up at 8:30 a.m. and finishes about 5 p.m.  Both days have about an hour lunch break.  The Ellsworth Equestrian Center has an air-conditioned cafeteria with viewing windows to enjoy a snack or your lunch while you watch!  Make sure you contact us with any questions you may have!
