Peruvian Paso Horse Registry of North

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE REGISTRATION OF A HORSE REGISTERED IN CENTRAL AMERICA
1. Owner or designated, recorded Agent should complete the top third on the front of the registration application and sign where it says "owner of the mare at the time of foaling", crossing out the "of mare at the time of foaling" part. 2. Complete the markings section on the back of the application. 3. Return to the PPHRNA office with the following: a) Copies of BOTH sides of the horse's Central American Papers and official pedigree. b) Copies of the ANCPCPP (Peruvian) registration papers of the horse to be registered and/or its parents, grandparents, etc. to show qualification for a closed ANCPCPP stud book. c) If the horse or its sire/dam, grandsire/granddam were registered in Peru after May of 1982 (see "Fecha de Registro in the lower left corner of the ANCPCPP papers,) the Registry requires documentation that the horse qualifies for a closed stud book. This verification is made via copies of the sire's and dam's ANCPCPP certificates of registration (or grandsire's and granddam's and further back until pedigree shows registration prior to 1982.) If the horse does not qualify, it will be registered provisionally. d) The required color photographs (showing the entire horse - both sides and all markings including face.) Digital or color copies not accepted. e) Registration fee the same as for AAOBPPH or Canadian transfers. Please note: ALL ungelded males registered or transferred to the PPHRNA will be registered with a "T" number indicating that they have not yet been registered for breeding purposes. These horses will be subject to PPHRNA rules regarding registration of stallions for breeding (those rules require DNA typing by UC Davis, a veterinarian's statement that the horse has two normal, descended testicles and a fee of $125 which includes the DNA typing costs.) If you have any questions, please contact the PPHRNA office.PPHRNA * 3077 Wiljan Court, Ste. A, Santa Rosa, CA 95407 * (707) 579-4394
