REMINDER OF RULE CHANGE REGARDING MEMBERSHIP
Effective in 2015, all riders at the U.S. National Show will be required to be
members of NAPHA. This decision is a financial one based on legal counsel
pursuant to NAPHAʼs insurance policy. It is important that ranch owners make
their personnel aware of this change as many are not current members and do
not receive our emails nor our newsletters. This rule change does not apply to
regional clubs who hold NAPHA approved shows.

NEW TRAINERS AWARD!
The newsletter will contain information regarding the implementation of our new
NAPHA trainers award. It is our intent to help formulate a committee of trainers,
for trainers and run by trainers to help organize and identify the criteria for this
new award. Once again, we encourage ranch owners to advise their current nonmember
training personnel, of this new opportunity. A preliminary list of national
trainers is being comprised and personal letters will be sent to those individuals
further explaining the program. Please contact Carolyn Mittrick or Pam
Castaneda with questions and/or names that should be added to this list.

2015 BOARD OF DIRECTORS ELECTION RESULTS
Our congratulations to Larry Redman for being elected by our members to serve
on the Board of Directors for a three year term. Larry brings a great deal of depth
and experience to the board. We also wish to acknowledge the other nominees
for their participation in the process. Marianne Bowman, Marlene Cruz and
Kathleen Morrison have all been invited to participate on the boardʼs January
conference call to further discuss some of their ideas as outlined in their very
good campaign letters. We also wish to acknowledge and thank Edie Gandy for
her many years of service to this board and our breed. Edie will remain on our
marketing committee and was recently elected President of the revitalized
Southeast club. The elections at the end of 2015 will be for three positions being
vacated by Danell Adams, Bonnie Gallegos & Chris Austin.

A very special THANK YOU to all of our members who helped to make 2014 a
successful and progressive year for our organization and our wonderful breed!
